Jeremy Draws a Monster

Rating

I wish all unwanted guests were this easy to get rid of.

What? It's got cute drawings, but it doesn't make a lot of sense. There's a little boy named Jeremy, who lives on the top floor of a three-story apartment building and never leaves. One day he draws a monster, who begins ordering him around. In an effort to finally get rid of the monster, Jeremy draws the monster a bus ticket and a suitcase and walks it downstairs and puts it on a bus. Then the neighbors ask him if he wants to play, and he does. Ta-da.

I don't get it. Is it supposed to be a metaphor for overcoming social anxiety? I have no idea. It's just weird. I can't get a message out of it. It's certainly not bad, it's just bizarre. It doesn't really have a point. It's just got magic in it for no apparent reason.
