I guess it's a cute story. It's a nonfiction story about a man named Philippe Petit. As the twin towers of the original World Trade Center were being built, he hung a line between the two of them at the top and tightrope-walked across the two of them. The police didn't like it very much, and he was arrested and a judge sentenced him to perform in a park.
I'm not really sure what the message is. I think it's trying to say that the twin towers, although they are gone, have this happy memory in addition to their sad destruction. But an alternate message is really, "It's okay to do illegal things as long as nobody gets hurt and they're highly entertaining."
